Hello folks,

 

It is an exciting time here at Weekend HQ as I have begun to match all the lovely people who wanted to share, into their cottages. It was so good to see that many people who met as strangers at the last Weekend, have booked this time as friends. We still have some spaces left at the Holland Weekend in both Standard and Deluxe accommodation, so book now and join the party before it's too late!

 

Events confirmed so far:

 

Friday Night: 20th Anniversary performance of the whole of Season’s End. After-show party battle: Lucy’s Queen of Rock Disco and Stephanie’s Dance On a Volcano (and other long songs)

Win VIP Passes to the Marillion Weekend 2009

You can win two VIP passes for the Marillion Weekends 2009 in either the Netherlands or Canada! These passes are "Access All Areas" - you will be able to watch sound checks, come back stage and - of course - meet the band!

 

To enter, submit a photograph of YOU wearing a Marillion T-shirt (or other item of Marillion clothing) in the most bizarre, glamorous, extraordinary or weird place you can think of - in front of the Taj Mahal, at the House of Commons, the bride or groom at a wedding, climbing Mt. Everest, or even outside Chernobyl in a Radiation T-Shirt (hmm... that last one sounds familiar) ...you get the idea.

The competition will run through the end of January 2009 - winners will receive free tickets to all shows as part of their prize, but in the case of Marillion Weekend 2009: Netherlands, meals will not be provided. Travel is not included in either prize.

Marillion Perform on "Ditto Music Live", Thursday 9th October

Lee Parsons from Ditto Music announces:

"I am very excited to announce that Marillion will be performing totally live on our Sky TV show next week. We are dubbing it a Marillion special and they will be performing tracks totally live. We should hopefully have some signed stuff to give away as well. Ditto Music Live goes out every Thursday at 8pm on Red TV, Sky channel 180. The purpose of the show is to showcase new music as well as advice to up and coming artists. For me Marillion are at the cutting edge of DIY ethics and it's a real pleasure to have them on the show."
